You will be working in a dynamic, fun-loving and agile development team within the world's largest and fastest growing eCommerce fashion brand. It will be your responsibility to lead a group of talented technicians on a Goliath re-platforming project.
Your responsibilities will include:
-To provide awesome web experiences on all platforms to billions of happy customers worldwide
-To show your passion for technology, especially cutting-edge, innovative UI engineering tech
-To be a proponent of test-driven development and the most practical and pragmatic engineering tools
-To mentor less Senior Developers
-Carry out code reviews and provide constructive feedback
-To set the example of how to deliver high-quality engineering
You will own the quality, consistency and technical alignment with the wider business. You will own the path to live and have the power to ensure builds and deployments are working for the benefit of the engineering team.
You work closely with the Principal UI Engineer to drive engineering standards. You believe in simple, elegant, maintainable code which adheres to basic engineering principles such as SOLID, KISS, DRY and YAGNI. You will ensure that software is tested at every step on the path to production using the appropriate tools and practices to make feedback cycles as short as possible.
By being an active part of both the UI engineering community you will drive the UI Engineering team to improve its standards and to make use of better technologies to solve our unique problems in order to deliver the best possible user experience to our customers.

The Tech Stack...
- CSS and pre-processors (they currently use SASS)
- Jasmine or another unit testing framework
In addition to these, they also make use of Node, NPM, jQuery, Karma and Grunt.
Their core Back End technology is .NET and they make extensive use of ASP.NET MVC applications. These are generally hosted in the Azure Cloud acting as either micro-services or full web applications.
